Currently our midweek meetings are based on Paul's letter to the Ephesians. Last night we read about a list of things that Christian believers need to do.
Speak the truth.
Be angry without sinning.
Do honest work.
Share with those in need.
Make sure our conversation is constructive.
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.
Be kind to one another.
Forgive one another.
It's simple! The passage in Ephesians chapters 4 and 5 includes other to do items... and the rest of the New Testament tells us other things that Christians need to do.
Whatever else it may be... the Christian life is a life of good works.
The glorious thing is that we have been told what we should do.
Even more glorious... Christian believers have been given new life in the Holy Spirit in order to live a life of good works.
As an old saying puts it... "Give me what you command, and command what you will."
The gospel provides us with all we need to get through our to do lists.
